Knitted Stools v Plastic Paddy

At Bruno + Bean we love to find design pieces that are individual and modern with a distinct Irish influence. Sometimes this is not an easy task with far more 'Plastic Paddy' goods and wears on offer than anything else.

Defintion of a Plastic Paddy: A Plastic Paddy (pic below) may know little of actual Irish culture, but nevertheless assert an Irish identity.

This cannot be said of Claire-Anne O'Brien's beautiful Knitted Stool's with their exaggerated wool stitch. Fits the bill to a tee.

We can't get enough of Pappelina here at bruno+bean, i chose yellow + vanilla to add a bit of 'colour' to what was orignially a bit of a plain entrance....turn it over once a week (in my case once a day!) et voila..see below! ps, that's Fred having a nose.

Every so often we come across some pretty cool photography, today I stumbled upon this from www.youcantbeserious.com.au - they should put a smile on your face!

We love Superfolk

It started with chairs getting my blood flowing now it seems tables are doing it too. I have to get my hands on one of Superfolk's kitchen tables.

This line from there site sums it all up:

What can we say only we LOVE Superfolk. If anyone doesn't know what to get me for Christmas, a table and chair would go down nicely...
